Regulatory Returns
Professional and regulatory bodies require the submission of periodic returns for monitoring purposes. We can assist you with completing your returns and review them before submission.
Periodic returns such as the ICAEW Annual Return assist professional bodies in monitoring the activity of their member firms and determining the appropriate levels of membership and licence fees. In addition, other regulators (such as the US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) require the submission of an annual return giving details of registrants’ activity on audits within the Board’s scope.
As well as periodic returns, professional and regulatory bodies require real-time notification of changes in firms’ details, especially where such matters may affect firms' eligibility to participate in regulated work such as audit, or to use descriptions such as “Chartered Accountants”.
The importance of keeping such disclosures accurate and up-to-date means that there can be significant penalties for failing to keep these matters in order.
We can assist you with the completion of periodic returns, and also in determining when the need to make occasional notifications arises, and the correct ways of doing this.
